FAQs
How do I schedule an appt?
To schedule an appointment at Zeiders Orthopedics, please call our office at 405-753-1100 and select option 1 to speak directly with our scheduling team. Our staff will be happy to assist you in finding a convenient appointment time and answering any questions you may have prior to your visit. You can also find the required paperwork on the website (HERE) to complete prior to the appointment to save time the day of your appointment.Â
How fast will I be seen?
At Zeiders Orthopedics, we strive to see patients as quickly as possible. Once any required authorization is obtained, appointments are typically scheduled within 1–5 business days, depending on provider availability and scheduling factors such as holidays. Our team works diligently to ensure timely access to care so you can begin your treatment without unnecessary delays. For urgent issues, same-day appointments may be available.
What happens at my first visit?
After completing the paperwork, you will be taken back to a room by our staff and you’ll meet with Dr. Gregory Zeiders, who will review your symptoms and medical history. In most cases, we’ll perform x-rays the same day and provide an initial diagnosis and treatment plan.
Can I get x-rays in your office?
For your convenience, Zeiders Orthopedics offers on-site X-ray services, allowing for faster diagnosis and more efficient care. By providing imaging in the same location as your appointment, we help streamline your visit, reduce the need for additional trips, and ensure your treatment plan can begin without delay.
If I am referred to get more testing (ie. CT scan/MRI/EMG, etc.) how does this process work?
If Dr. Zeiders requests further testing, this order will be sent to the insurance for authorization and once approved, sent a facility of the patients' choice for the testing. Once the patient has their date/time, they are to call the office to schedule a Results appointment for review and definitive treatment planning with Dr. Zeiders.
If it is recommended that I have surgery, what is the process?
If Dr. Zeiders recommends surgery, this will either be scheduled while the patient is in the office (and then authorized by insurance) or the order will be sent to the insurance for authorization and once approved, we will call to schedule the surgery. Pre op testing may/may not be warranted and will be decided based of health history and current medications and orders will be sent to the surgery facility accordingly.
If it is recommended that I have surgery, what is the process?
Patients will be given specific post op instructions as well as a date/time for post op follow up with Dr. Zeiders, usually 7-14 days after surgery depending on the procedure. As always, if specific questions arise, patients are urged to call the office immediately.
If I need physical therapy, where do I go and what is the process for the referral?
Physical therapy referrals can be directed to the facility of choice. We recommend reviewing the insurance provider’s network to identify preferred facilities, which can help minimize out-of-pocket costs and avoid unexpected billing.
What are the most common uses for a PRP injection?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are most commonly used in orthopedics and sports medicine to help treat injuries involving tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints—especially when the goal is to reduce pain and support healing without surgery.
If I need a brace, splint, cast or crutches, do you have them there?
Zeiders Orthopedics offers in-house bracing services to support injury recovery and joint stability. We are able to properly fit and apply a variety of braces during your visit, helping to protect injured areas, reduce pain, and promote healing. Providing bracing on-site ensures a convenient, efficient experience and allows your treatment plan to begin right away. Of note, the invoice for these products will come from another company.
